Description
BAY 60-6583 is a potent and highly selective adenosine A2B receptor agonist with species-dependent Ki values of 0.33–0.75 nM. It stimulates cAMP production in A2B-expressing cells with an EC50 value of 2.83 nM and modulates fMLP-stimulated superoxide production.
A2B adenosine receptors regulate inflammatory, vascular and metabolic responses through cAMP-linked GPCR signaling. BAY 60-6583 is a useful agonist for investigating A2B receptor function and adenosine-dependent immunomodulation.
