Description
Efaroxan hydrochloride is a potent and selective α2-adrenoceptor antagonist. It is used to block α2-adrenergic receptor signaling and to investigate norepinephrine release and adrenergic feedback mechanisms.
α2-Adrenoceptor antagonists can increase noradrenergic tone by blocking presynaptic inhibitory feedback. Efaroxan hydrochloride is relevant for adrenergic receptor pharmacology and studies of sympathetic and metabolic regulation.
