Description
Celiprolol hydrochloride is a β-blocker with strong β1-adrenoceptor antagonist activity and mild β2-adrenoceptor agonist properties. It is useful for studying mixed adrenergic receptor modulation.
β1 and β2 adrenoceptors regulate cardiac function, vascular responses and sympathetic signaling. Celiprolol hydrochloride provides a pharmacological profile that combines β1 blockade with partial β2 agonist-like activity.
