ZLN 005
- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C17H18N2
- MW: 250.34
Description
ZLN 005 is a selective transcriptional regulator that stimulates PGC-1α expression and downstream metabolic genes in skeletal muscle cells. It increases glucose uptake and fatty-acid oxidation in L6 myotubes through an AMPK-dependent mechanism.
PGC-1α regulates mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative metabolism and energy homeostasis. ZLN 005 is useful for studying transcriptional control of metabolic adaptation and skeletal-muscle pathways relevant to type 2 diabetes research.
Key Features
- Selective PGC-1α expression regulator
- Stimulates downstream oxidative metabolism genes
- Enhances glucose uptake and fatty-acid oxidation
- Acts through AMPK-dependent mechanisms in myotubes
Applications
- PGC-1α pathway research
- Skeletal muscle metabolism studies
- Glucose uptake assays
- Type 2 diabetes and mitochondrial biology models
