Description
DMOG is a cell-permeable HIF prolyl hydroxylase (PHD/EGLN) inhibitor that stabilizes HIF-1α and HIF-2α. It enhances hypoxia-response signaling and increases expression of genes such as VEGF in cellular models.
DMOG acts as a 2-oxoglutarate analog and is widely used to mimic hypoxic signaling under normoxic conditions. It is relevant for angiogenesis, ischemia, osteogenic differentiation, metabolic adaptation and cell-survival research.
