MG 149
- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C22H28O3
- MW: 340.46
Description
MG149 is a novel anacardic acid analog and potent, selective MYST family histone acetyltransferase (HAT) inhibitor targeting Tip60 and MOZ. MG149 also effectively inhibits acetyltransferase activity in HeLa cell nuclear extracts, making it a useful tool for studying histone acetylation and chromatin regulation.
MYST family histone acetyltransferases regulate chromatin structure, transcriptional control, DNA damage response, cell cycle progression, and inflammatory gene expression. By inhibiting Tip60 and MOZ-dependent acetyltransferase activity, MG149 provides a valuable chemical probe for epigenetics, transcriptional regulation, inflammation, and cancer biology research.
