Description
NBD-556 is a human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) entry inhibitor that blocks the gp120-CD4 interaction. NBD-556 inhibited the fusion between HIV-1NL4-3-luc pseudotyped virus expressing HIV-1HXB2 (X4-tropic) envelope and U87-T4-CXCR4 cells, expressing CXCR4 coreceptor, with and IC50 value of 20.0 μM. NBD-556 inhibited the CD4-dependent virus in a dose-dependent manner with an IC50 value of 22.6 μM.
