Description
BTB 1 (NSC156750) is a reversible inhibitor of the mitotic kinesin Kif18A. It inhibits Kif18A ATPase activity and interferes with chromosome congression and spindle dynamics during mitosis.
Kif18A regulates chromosome alignment and microtubule-based motility at the mitotic spindle. BTB 1 is useful for exploring mitotic motor function, spindle checkpoint regulation and the consequences of Kif18A inhibition in proliferating cancer cells.
