AdipoRon
- Soluble in 0.1N HCl(aq) and DMSO
- MF: C27H28N2O3
- MW: 428.52
Description
AdipoRon is an orally active adiponectin receptor agonist with Kd values of 1.8 μM and 3.1 μM for AdipoR1 and AdipoR2, respectively. It activates AMPK and PPARα signaling pathways and improves insulin resistance, glucose intolerance and diabetes phenotypes in obese rodent models.
Adiponectin receptor signaling links adipose-derived endocrine regulation to glucose metabolism, fatty-acid oxidation and metabolic stress resistance. AdipoRon is useful for studying AdipoR pharmacology and antidiabetic pathway modulation.
Key Features
- Orally active adiponectin receptor (AdipoR) agonist
- Kd: 1.8 μM at AdipoR1 and 3.1 μM at AdipoR2
- Activates AMPK and PPARα pathways
- Improves metabolic phenotypes in obese rodent models
Applications
- Adiponectin receptor pharmacology
- Insulin-resistance studies
- Glucose and lipid metabolism research
- Type 2 diabetes model assays
