Description
SF 1670 is an inhibitor of PTEN with reported IC50 of 2 µM and also inhibits CD45/PTPRC and galactokinase (GALK) in reported assays. It enhances neutrophil functions and fMLP-induced PtdIns(3,4,5)P3 signaling.
PTEN negatively regulates PI3K signaling and controls insulin responses, immune-cell activation, cell-cycle progression and apoptosis. SF 1670 is relevant for PI3K/PTEN pathway studies, while its CD45 and GALK activity should be considered in experimental interpretation.
