Description

FK 866 (Daporinad) is a highly specific nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) inhibitor that blocks the NAD salvage biosynthesis pathway.

NAMPT controls cellular NAD+ production and is important for metabolic homeostasis, stress responses and cancer cell survival. FK 866 depletes NAD+ and is used to investigate metabolic vulnerability and apoptosis in tumor cell models.
