Description
PD123319 ditrifluoroacetate is an optically pure S-enantiomeric angiotensin II type 2 (AT2) receptor antagonist.
AT2 receptors participate in vascular remodeling, neuronal development, inflammation, fibrosis and renin-angiotensin system signaling. PD123319 is a reference antagonist for separating AT2 receptor effects from AT1-mediated angiotensin II responses.
Key Features
- Selective AT2 receptor antagonist
- Optically pure S-enantiomeric pharmacology tool
- Blocks angiotensin II type 2 receptor signaling
- Useful for AT1 versus AT2 pathway discrimination
Applications
- AT2 receptor antagonist assays
- Renin-angiotensin system research
- Vascular remodeling and fibrosis models
- Angiotensin receptor subtype profiling
The opposite enantiomer, (R)-(-)-PD123319 ditrifluoroacetate (Axon 3890), is also available from Axon Medchem.
