Description
Rolipram is a prototypical phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor that elevates intracellular cAMP by preventing PDE4-mediated cAMP degradation.
PDE4 regulates cAMP signaling in immune cells, neurons and glia. Rolipram is widely used to investigate anti-inflammatory cAMP signaling, neuroprotection, cognition-related pathways and CNS pharmacology.
