Description
ML355 is a potent and selective inhibitor of platelet-type 12-lipoxygenase (12-LOX/ALOX12) with an IC50 value of 0.34 µM. It shows strong selectivity over 15-LOX-1, 15-LOX-2, 5-LOX and cyclooxygenase-1/2 in the reported profiling.
ML355 suppresses 12-HETE formation and has activity in platelet aggregation, calcium-mobilization and pancreatic β-cell models. Its pharmacokinetic and selectivity profile makes it useful for investigating 12-LOX-dependent thrombosis, oxidative lipid signaling and β-cell dysfunction.
