Description
UCB-L 060 is the R-(+)-enantiomer of etiracetam (Axon 1109) and is less active than the S-(-)-enantiomer levetiracetam (Axon 1110). It is best used as a stereochemical comparator within the pyrrolidone/SV2A-related neuropharmacology ligand class.
Etiracetam and levetiracetam analogues are used to investigate CNS excitability, anticonvulsant mechanisms and enantiomer-dependent activity. UCB-L 060 supports experiments comparing less active and more active pyrrolidone enantiomers in neuronal signaling models.
