Description
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI); Paroxetine is used to treat major depression, obsessive-compulsive, panic, social anxiety, and generalised anxiety disorders in adult outpatients.
Paroxetine has also been identified an inhibitor of GRK2 activity both in vitro and in living cells with up to 60-fold selectivity over other GRKs, and is capable of increasing myocardial contractility.
