Description
NRX 194204 (AGN194204) is a highly potent retinoid X receptor (RXR) agonist with strong activity at RXRα, RXRβ and RXRγ and minimal activity at retinoic acid receptors. It is used to selectively activate RXR-dependent transcriptional programs.
RXR receptors form homodimers and heterodimers with several nuclear receptors, including PPAR, LXR, FXR and RAR, thereby influencing metabolism, inflammation, differentiation and neurobiology. NRX 194204 is valuable where RXR-selective pharmacology is required without direct RAR activation.
