Description
Bexarotene is a selective retinoid X receptor (RXR) agonist with antineoplastic pharmacology in retinoid-responsive systems.
RXRs function as nuclear receptor partners that regulate differentiation, lipid metabolism, apoptosis and immune-related transcriptional programs. Bexarotene is used as a reference RXR ligand in nuclear receptor biology and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma research.
