Description
PF 04418948 is an orally active, potent and selective prostaglandin EP2 receptor antagonist. It blocks PGE2 signaling through the EP2/PTGER2 receptor subtype.
EP2 receptor signaling regulates cAMP production and contributes to inflammation, pain, vascular responses and immune-cell modulation. PF 04418948 is useful for dissecting EP2-specific pharmacology without directly inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis.
