Description
REP 3123 dihydrochloride is a selective methionyl-tRNA synthetase (MetRS) inhibitor developed for antibacterial activity against Clostridioides difficile.
MetRS inhibition blocks bacterial protein synthesis by preventing methionine charging of tRNA. REP 3123 is relevant for studies of C. difficile infection pharmacology, antibacterial selectivity and aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase-targeted antibiotics.
