Description
WAY 100635 maleate is a prototypical high-affinity 5-HT1A receptor antagonist widely used to define serotonergic autoreceptor and postsynaptic 5-HT1A signaling. It also shows reported activity at dopamine D4 receptors and selected adrenergic receptors.
5-HT1A receptors regulate anxiety, mood, thermoregulation, cognition and serotonergic neurotransmission. WAY 100635 maleate is a benchmark antagonist for receptor binding studies, functional GPCR assays and in vivo serotonergic pharmacology.
