Description
Inhibitor of the RAS-like small GTPases RalA and RalB (IC50 values 3.5 μM and 3.4 μM for growth inhibition in H2122 and H358 tumor xenografts, respectively). RBC8 shows selectivity for Ral relative to the GTPases Ras and RhoA. Mechanistically, RBC8 inhibits the binding of Ral proteins in their GDP-bound form to its effector RALBP1, as well as inhibiting Ral-mediated cell spreading of murine embryonic fibroblasts and anchorage-independent growth of human cancer cell lines.
