Description
Orvepitant maleate is a neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor antagonist that blocks substance P-mediated signaling.
NK1 receptor pathways are involved in stress responses, affective behavior, nausea and pain-related neuropeptide signaling. Orvepitant is useful for studying NK1 receptor pharmacology in anxiety, depression and emesis-related research models.
Key Features
- NK1 receptor antagonist
- Blocks substance P neuropeptide signaling
- Relevant to stress, mood and emesis pathway research
- Useful for central neurokinin receptor pharmacology
Applications
- NK1 receptor pharmacology
- Anxiety and depression model studies
- Substance P signaling assays
- Emesis and stress-response pathway research
