Cannabidiol
- CBD- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C21H30O2
- MW: 314.46
Description
Cannabidiol is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid that does not behave as a classical CB1 or CB2 agonist and has been reported to antagonize GPR55-mediated signaling.
Cannabidiol is pharmacologically pleiotropic and is used to study cannabinoid-adjacent mechanisms, including GPR55, TRP channels, 5-HT1A-associated pathways, neuroinflammation and neuronal excitability.
Key Features
- Non-intoxicating cannabinoid research compound
- Reported GPR55 antagonist activity
- Does not act as a classical CB1/CB2 agonist
- Useful for studying cannabinoid-adjacent signaling pathways
Applications
- GPR55 and endocannabinoid pathway studies
- Neuroinflammation and neuronal excitability research
- Cannabinoid receptor selectivity profiling
- Pain, seizure and CNS model research
