Description
SKI II is an orally bioavailable sphingosine kinase (SK or SphK) inhibitor (IC50 value of 0.5 µM) without competition at the ATP-binding site of SK. Moreover, SKI II showed no inhibition on a small panel of human protein kinases (ERK2 and PKC-α) and a lipid kinase (PI3K). SKI II inhibited cancer cell proliferation, induced apoptosis and inhibited tumor growth in mice.
