RBC 8
- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C25H20N4O3
- MW: 424.45
Description
RBC 8 is an inhibitor of the RAS-like small GTPases RalA and RalB that interferes with binding of GDP-bound Ral proteins to the effector RALBP1. It shows selectivity for Ral relative to Ras and RhoA and inhibits Ral-mediated cell spreading and anchorage-independent growth of cancer cells.
Ral GTPases act downstream of RAS and regulate vesicle trafficking, cytoskeletal behavior and tumorigenic growth. RBC 8 is useful for studying RalA/RalB pharmacology and RAS-effector signaling in cancer models.
Key Features
- RalA/RalB small GTPase inhibitor
- Disrupts Ral–RALBP1 effector binding
- Selective over Ras and RhoA in reported assays
- Inhibits anchorage-independent cancer-cell growth
Applications
- Ral GTPase pharmacology
- RAS-effector pathway research
- Cancer cell-spreading assays
- Anchorage-independent growth studies
