Description

NEO 212 (TMZ-POH) is a DNA-alkylating agent formed by conjugating temozolomide (TMZ, Axon 2326) with perillyl alcohol (POH). It produces DNA damage and cell death more efficiently than temozolomide in reported models, with IC50 values of 5–50 μM in glioma cell lines and activity against temozolomide-resistant cancer cells.

Temozolomide resistance is a major limitation in glioma and other oncology models. NEO 212 is useful for studying DNA alkylation, resistance circumvention and improved pharmacological exposure through TMZ–POH conjugation.

Key Features

  • Temozolomide–perillyl alcohol (TMZ-POH) conjugate
  • DNA alkylating antitumor agent
  • IC50: 5–50 μM in glioma cell lines
  • Circumvents temozolomide resistance in reported models

Applications

  • DNA alkylation research
  • Glioma and brain tumor models
  • Temozolomide-resistance studies
  • Triple-negative breast cancer pharmacology
