Description
Atomoxetine hydrochloride is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI/NARI) that blocks norepinephrine transporter (NET/SLC6A2)-mediated uptake.
NET inhibition increases extracellular norepinephrine and influences attention, arousal, executive function and autonomic signaling. Atomoxetine is a reference compound for noradrenergic transporter pharmacology and ADHD-related pathway studies.
