Description
GW 3965 hydrochloride is a selective and orally active liver X receptor (LXR) full agonist.
LXRα and LXRβ are nuclear receptors that regulate cholesterol efflux, reverse cholesterol transport, lipogenesis and inflammatory gene expression. GW 3965 is widely used to activate LXR-dependent transcription in metabolic and immunological models.
Key Features
- Selective LXR full agonist
- Activates LXRα and LXRβ transcriptional signaling
- Promotes cholesterol efflux pathway research
- Relevant to lipid metabolism and inflammation studies
Applications
- LXR reporter assays
- Cholesterol efflux and ABCA1 pathway studies
- Metabolic disease model research
- Inflammation and macrophage biology assays
