Description
SSR 149415 (Nelivaptan) is a selective and orally active non-peptide vasopressin V1B receptor antagonist with Ki values of 1.5 nM for V1B and 91 nM for V1A receptors in human CHO cells. SSR 149415 selectively blocks vasopressin-mediated V1B receptor signaling and has been investigated as a potential therapeutic agent for anxiety and depression.
The vasopressin V1B receptor plays a key role in regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, stress responses, emotional behavior, and neuroendocrine signaling. SSR 149415 is widely used as a research tool for studying stress-related disorders, anxiety, depression, and vasopressin receptor pharmacology.
