Description
N 0425 hydrochloride is a potent monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor. Racemic N 0425 has been reported to inhibit MAO-A and MAO-B with comparable in vitro potency, making it useful for studies of monoamine metabolism.
MAO-A and MAO-B catalyze oxidative deamination of neurotransmitters and are important targets in neurochemical and neuropharmacological research. N 0425 hydrochloride is suitable for comparing nonselective MAO inhibition and enantiomer-dependent activity.
