Description
Sonlicromanol, also known as KH176, is a derivative of (S)-Trolox (Axon 3553) and an orally active antioxidant and redox modulator. Sonlicromanol can effectively reduce increased cellular ROS levels and protect OXPHOS deficient primary cells against redox perturbation by targeting the Thioredoxin/Peroxiredoxin system.
Key Features
- Orally active redox modulator
- Derivative of (S)-Trolox
- Targets the thioredoxin/peroxiredoxin antioxidant system
- Reduces pathological intracellular ROS levels
- Protects OXPHOS-deficient cells against oxidative stress
Applications
- Mitochondrial disease research
- Redox biology and oxidative stress studies
- Reactive oxygen species signaling investigations
- OXPHOS deficiency models
- Mitochondrial function and metabolism research
