Description
C-DIM5 is an agonist of the orphan nuclear receptor NR4A1 (Nur77) that activates pro-apoptotic NR4A1-dependent responses in selected cancer-cell models. Its effects include induction of the death ligand TRAIL and cell-cycle-regulatory genes.
C-DIM5 reduces tumor-cell survival, promotes apoptosis and induces p21-associated cell-cycle arrest in pancreatic cancer cells. It is useful for studying context-dependent NR4A1 agonism, nuclear-versus-mitochondrial Nur77 signaling and receptor-mediated apoptotic transcription.
