Description
M8-B hydrochloride is a potent antagonist of TRPM8 ion channels, blocking cold- and agonist-induced TRPM8 activation. It has been used to study cold sensation, thermosensory signaling and TRPM8-dependent pain pathways.
TRPM8 is a cold- and menthol-sensitive cation channel expressed in sensory neurons and other tissues. M8-B hydrochloride provides a pharmacological tool for dissecting TRPM8-mediated calcium influx, nociception and temperature-sensing biology.
