AZ-GHS-22
- Soluble in 0.1N HCl(aq) and DMSO
- MF: C27H33ClN6O5S2
- MW: 621.17
Description
AZ-GHS-22 is an orally available high-affinity inverse agonist of the ghrelin receptor GHS-R1a with an IC50 value of 0.77 nM. It is characterized by very low CNS exposure, making it useful for studying peripheral ghrelin receptor pharmacology.
Ghrelin receptor signaling regulates appetite, energy balance, gastrointestinal physiology and metabolic control. AZ-GHS-22 supports investigation of GHS-R1a inverse agonism and separation of peripheral metabolic effects from central exposure.
