Description
CpdD hydrochloride is a selective antagonist of the ghrelin receptor GHSR-1a (GhrR). It is used to block ghrelin-mediated receptor signaling in metabolic, endocrine and appetite-regulation studies.
Ghrelin receptor signaling regulates growth hormone release, feeding behavior, energy homeostasis and gastrointestinal/endocrine function. CpdD is pharmacologically relevant for separating GHSR-1a-dependent effects from broader metabolic signaling networks.
Key Features
- Selective ghrelin receptor antagonist
- Targets GHSR-1a-mediated signaling
- Blocks ghrelin pathway activation
- Useful endocrine and metabolic receptor tool
Applications
- Ghrelin receptor pharmacology
- Appetite and energy-balance studies
- Endocrine signaling assays
- Metabolic disease model research
