Description

TD 5108 (Velusetrag) is a potent and selective serotonin 5-HT4 receptor agonist with high intrinsic activity. It activates pro-motility serotonergic signaling relevant to gastrointestinal pharmacology.

5-HT4 receptors regulate enteric neurotransmission, intestinal secretion and gastrointestinal motility. TD 5108 is useful for studying prokinetic mechanisms in models of chronic constipation, irritable bowel syndrome and enteric nervous system signaling.
