Description
STA 9090 (Ganetespib) is a potent Hsp90 molecular chaperone inhibitor. It disrupts Hsp90-dependent stabilization of oncogenic client proteins and shows activity in tumor models, including cells with constitutively active JAK/STAT signaling.
Hsp90 supports folding and stability of multiple signaling proteins involved in cancer cell survival, kinase signaling and proteostasis. STA 9090 is used to study chaperone inhibition, client-protein degradation and stress-response pharmacology in oncology models.
