Description
Necrostatin-1 is a cell-permeable, potent and selective necroptosis inhibitor that acts as an ATP-competitive inhibitor of RIPK1 kinase.
RIPK1 is a central regulator of necroptotic cell death and inflammatory signaling. Necrostatin-1 is a key tool for distinguishing RIPK1-dependent necroptosis from apoptosis and other cell death pathways.
Key Features
- Cell-permeable necroptosis inhibitor
- ATP-competitive RIPK1 kinase inhibition
- Negligible effect reported on RIPK2 kinase activity
- Reference compound for programmed necrosis research
Applications
- RIPK1 kinase inhibition assays
- Necroptosis and cell death pathway studies
- Inflammation and tissue injury models
- Apoptosis versus necroptosis discrimination
