Description
Radafaxine hydrochloride (aka (2S,3S)-Hydroxybupropion hydrochloride - GW 353162A) is a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI) and a potent metabolite of bupropion (Axon 1451). It is the (+)-isomer of hydroxybupropion and is useful for monoamine transporter research.
NDRI compounds increase extracellular norepinephrine and dopamine by inhibiting transporter-mediated reuptake. Radafaxine hydrochloride supports studies of bupropion metabolite pharmacology, catecholamine signaling and antidepressant-related mechanisms.
Key Features
- Norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor
- Potent bupropion metabolite
- (+)-isomer of hydroxybupropion
- Supports mechanism-focused pharmacology and assay development
Applications
- DAT and NET transporter research
- Monoamine reuptake inhibition studies
- Bupropion metabolite profiling
- Antidepressant mechanism research
