Description
LIT-001 is a potent, nonpeptide agonist of oxytocin receptor (OTR) with reported EC50 values of 25 nM at the human receptor and 18 nM at the mouse receptor. It activates oxytocin receptor-dependent signaling while displaying substantially weaker activity at closely related vasopressin receptors under the reported assay conditions.
LIT-001 provides a systemically active alternative to peptide oxytocin for studying oxytocin receptor pharmacology, social behavior and central neuroendocrine signaling. Peripheral administration improved social-interaction phenotypes in mouse models, making it useful for linking receptor activation to behavioral and neuronal outcomes while avoiding the rapid degradation of native oxytocin.
Key Features
- Potent nonpeptide oxytocin receptor agonist

- High efficacy at human and mouse oxytocin receptors
- Systemically active pharmacological probe
Applications
- Oxytocin receptor signaling studies
- Social-behavior and neuroendocrine research
- GPCR activation and receptor-selectivity assays
- Animal models of social-interaction deficits
