Description
AH 002 (8-M-PDOT) is a melatonin receptor agonist with greater selectivity for MT2 over MT1 compared with AH-001, although with lower potency.
Melatonin MT1 and MT2 receptors regulate circadian timing, sleep-wake biology and retinal/neuroendocrine signaling. AH 002 is useful for probing MT2-preferential melatonergic responses.
Key Features
- Melatonin receptor agonist
- MT2-selective profile relative to MT1
- Less potent than AH-001 but more MT2-selective
- Useful for circadian and sleep-wake pathway research
Applications
- MT2 receptor functional assays
- Melatonin receptor subtype profiling
- Circadian rhythm and chronobiology studies
- Sleep-wake signaling research
