Description

BCTC is highly potent, selective and orally active vanilloid receptor 1 (TRPV1) antagonist which inhibits capsaicin-induced activation of rat VR1 with an IC50 value of 35 nM. BCTC also potently inhibits acid-induced activation of rat VR1 (IC50 value of 6.0 nM).
