Description
NCL-00017509 is a potent, reversible inhibitor of NIMA-related kinase 2 (NEK2) with an IC50 value of 56 nM. By targeting NEK2, a critical regulator of centrosome separation and mitotic progression, it induces mitotic abnormalities and delays cell division.
NCL-00017509 is cell-permeable and has been used to study NEK2-dependent proliferation, chromosomal segregation and tumor-cell immune signaling. In pancreatic tumor models, NEK2 inhibition has been associated with reduced PD-L1 expression and enhanced antitumor immune responses.
