Cardiogenol C hydrochloride
- Parent CAS: 671225-39-1
- Soluble in water and DMSO
- MF: C13H16N4O2.HCl
- MW: 296.75
Description
Cardiogenol C hydrochloride is a small-molecule inducer of embryonic stem-cell differentiation toward cardiomyocytes. It promotes myosin heavy chain-positive cardiomyocyte formation in ESC-derived systems.
Cardiomyocyte differentiation requires coordinated regulation of developmental transcription, sarcomeric protein expression and cardiac lineage commitment. Cardiogenol C hydrochloride is useful for cardiac differentiation protocols and regenerative medicine pathway studies.
Key Features
- Cardiomyocyte differentiation inducer
- Reported EC50: 0.1 µM for induction of MHC-positive cardiomyocytes from ESCs
- Promotes cardiac lineage commitment in stem-cell models
- Useful for regenerative and developmental biology assays
Applications
- Stem-cell cardiomyocyte differentiation
- Cardiac development pathway research
- Regenerative medicine assay development
- Myosin heavy chain and lineage-marker studies
