FIPI hydrochloride
- Parent CAS: 939055-18-2
- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C23H24FN5O2.HCl
- MW: 457.93
Description
FIPI hydrochloride is a phospholipase D inhibitor that blocks both PLD1 and PLD2 with IC50 values of 20–25 nM and rapidly suppresses phosphatidic acid production in cells. It disrupts PLD-dependent regulation of the actin cytoskeleton, PIP2 availability, cell spreading and chemotaxis.
PLD-generated phosphatidic acid is an important lipid second messenger in inflammation, migration, vesicle trafficking and cancer biology. FIPI hydrochloride is useful for probing PLD-dependent lipid signaling and cellular motility.
Key Features
- Potent PLD1/PLD2 inhibitor
- IC50: 20–25 nM at PLD1 and PLD2
- Suppresses phosphatidic acid production
- Disrupts PLD-dependent cytoskeletal regulation
Applications
- Phospholipase D pharmacology
- Lipid signaling studies
- Chemotaxis and cell migration assays
- Inflammation and cancer-metastasis research
