- UNC0669- Soluble in water and DMSO
- MF: C15H20BrN3O
- MW: 338.24
Description
UNC669 (UNC0669) is a small-molecule antagonist of methyl-lysine reader proteins with activity against L3MBTL1 and L3MBTL3, reported IC50 values of 4.2 µM and 3.1 µM respectively in the cited assay. It is used to study methyl-lysine recognition by malignant brain tumor (MBT) domains.
Methyl-lysine reader proteins translate histone methylation marks into chromatin-associated functional outcomes. UNC669 is relevant for epigenetic probe development and chromatin-reader selectivity studies.
Key Features
- Antagonist of methyl-lysine reader proteins
- Active against L3MBTL1 and L3MBTL3
- Targets MBT-domain chromatin recognition
- Useful epigenetic reader probe
Applications
- Chromatin reader pharmacology
- Methyl-lysine binding assays
- Epigenetic probe development
- Histone mark interpretation studies
