Description
CP 135807 is a selective serotonin 5-HT1D receptor agonist with high affinity for central 5-HT1D receptors. In functional studies it produces dose-dependent decreases in extracellular serotonin.
The 5-HT1D receptor regulates serotonergic neurotransmission and is relevant to CNS pharmacology, migraine biology and presynaptic modulation of serotonin release. CP 135807 provides a tool for probing 5-HT1D-mediated feedback signaling.
