Description
Calhex 231 hydrochloride is a negative allosteric modulator of the extracellular calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR/CaR) that inhibits calcium-induced receptor signaling.
CaSR regulates mineral ion homeostasis, parathyroid hormone release and calcium-dependent GPCR signaling. Calhex 231 is useful for studying CaSR allostery and calcium-triggered inositol phosphate responses in receptor-expressing cells.
