Description
BD 1047 dihydrobromide is a selective sigma-1 receptor antagonist used to block sigma-1 receptor-mediated modulation of cellular stress and neurotransmission pathways.
Sigma-1 receptors are ligand-regulated chaperone proteins involved in endoplasmic reticulum-mitochondrial signaling, calcium homeostasis, pain processing and neuroprotection. BD 1047 is a useful antagonist for dissecting sigma-1 receptor function.
Key Features
- Selective sigma-1 receptor antagonist
- Blocks sigma-1 receptor-mediated cellular responses
- Useful in pain, stress and neuroprotection pathway studies
- Supports investigation of ER-mitochondrial signaling
Applications
- Sigma-1 receptor pharmacology
- Pain and nociception research
- ER stress and calcium signaling studies
- Neuroprotection and CNS pathway models
